One of the greatest lie circulating in the Network Marketing business is that, ‘…you do not have to sell anything.’
Even I believed in this lie, till the time I started doing the business. After sharing with few people, reality struck me really hard – ‘I was not qualified to do this business, as I did not know how to sell.’
Do you still believe you don’t need to sell?
Well, if there is no selling involved then why doesn’t every person you talk to join your organization? Why do people drop out even after joining? Why do people bad mouth the business?
The fact of the matter is Network Marketing is a business of Sales, whether you believe it or not. And not everybody is a Sales Person. Therefore Network Marketing is not for everyone.
Another question that arises in the mind is, ‘If network marketing is all about sales then why is it that nobody mentions it in the seminars or any meetings?’ The only reason is that either people doing network marketing do not know the truth or they do not want to frighten their prospects by telling them that they will have to sell; and most of the people hate sales.
If you as a networker want to earn the income that is promised in the seminars or the lifestyle shown to you by your up line then the most important thing that you have to understand is that – ‘You have to become a Sales Person.’ Period!
Once you realize and believe in this fact, you will take efforts to develop your sales skills in order to succeed in your business; because nobody is a born sales person. It is a skill that can be developed by anybody.
REMEMBER: Every time you ask a person to give you money in exchange of what you are offering, you are selling.
Network Marketing means Sales!
But this is not the end. Even after you have learned the skills of becoming a Sales Person, whether you become a typical Sales Person or a ‘Value Creator’ in your client’s life, that you have to decide.
